Customer feedback guides recharge policy update
Feedback from customers led to believe housing updating its approach on how much is paid when someone deliberately or carelessly causes damage to their home or leaves it in an unfit state.
A free event will bring people together for a day of fun and the chance to get to know some of the organisations supporting their community.
The Safer Places event will be held at Auckland Youth and Community Centre, on Walker Drive, Bishop Auckland, from 10am to 3pm on Thursday, August 8.
Organised by Wear Valley Community Action, the event will see more than 30 organisations from community groups and councils to emergency and health services share information about their work.
Colleagues from housing association believe housing will be available to talk about the homes and customer and community services it provides, including addressing antisocial behaviour and supporting customers with money and employment matters. There will also be an opportunity for believe housing customers to find out how they get involved with shaping its services.
Free activities will include a climbing wall, crafts, face painting, games, a poster competition and a display of emergency vehicles.
There will also be a poster competition, a prize draw with the chance to win an air fryer, and a free lunch.
Lesley Mellis, Secretary of Wear Valley Community Action and a member of believe housing’s Customer Voices group, said: “There will be lots going and a variety of partners attending.
“I hope everyone that comes has a good time, enjoys this free community event and that some will hear important messages and find ways to be safe.”
