The Met Office has issued an amber weather warning ahead of Storm Éowyn, which is expected to bring very strong winds and widespread disruption to the region, from 6am to 9pm.
A yellow weather warning is in place for the rest of the day.
Before the storm, customers can help to protect their home and stay safe by securing any loose items outside such as bins, garden furniture, trampolines, and planters to prevent them being blown over and broken.
People should not attempt to fix any damage during the storm.
It is also worth preparing in case of a power cut by gathering torches, batteries and other essential items and keeping mobile phones charged.
