If you notice your central heating is not working, this video will walk you through some quick and simple checks you can do to fix some common boiler faults.
For this repair you will need:
- Your boiler user guide
- A meter box key
You can also follow along with the steps below.
Check your boiler pressure. You can do this on most boilers by looking at the display on the front. The ideal pressure is between 1 and 1.5 bar.
If your boiler is displaying a low pressure error code, you will need to top up your boiler.
If you’re unsure where to find the pressure information on your boiler, please check you user guide.
If your boiler pressure between 1 and 1.5 bar and your boiler is not displaying an error code, you should now check your gas meter.
To check your gas meter, you will need meter box key. Insert the key into the box and turn it anticlockwise until the meter box opens. Check the gas meter display is showing as on.
